Description

This workshop immerses the student in Extreme Programming. The student experiences the twelve principles of XP by participating in them. The course is primarily hands-on with interspersed commentary, and feedback, as needed.

Objectives

As a result of the training, the student will be able to:

  • Identify the twelve principles of XP
  • Have an appreciation for the principles in practice

Prerequisites

The student should have programming experience with Java or C++. The course project will be developed in the language that is known by the majority of students. There is room for a few non-programming students to act as customers.

Exercises

This workshop consists of a series of iterations revolving around a single project. The workshop can be customized to a client's particular area of interest.
